Thanks to our extensive experience in newbuilding and conversion designs, our skilled staff can provide high quality all-inclusive design service. Our design office will take care
of the design in all disciplines: Hull Structure, Strength Calculations, Stability,
Deck Equipment, Machinery & Piping together with Electrical & Automation Design.

STEP 1 – FEASIBILITY STUDY

We can provide comprehensive study evaluating selected Ballast Water Treatment solutions taking into consideration actually existing structures and systems, scope of needed modifications, space reservation, material cost estimation. To provide reliable report 
3D Laser scanning of the subjected area is very helpful and increases the evaluation study precision. All this is to provide our customer reliable basis for accurate decisions.
RMDC provides scanning both for EX-proof and non-EX-proof area.

STEP 2 – CONCEPT DESIGN – THE FOUNDATION

After decisions are made to implement selected BWTS. it is time to provide Concept Design – basic study of chosen Ballast Water Treatment Method/System and major documents describing the project. This is a fundamental work - we can guarantee that this foundation
is rock solid. Concept Design is being prepared I n basis on 3D model, feasibility study,
ship-owners preferences, all obligatory rules and regulations.

STEP 3 – BASIC DESIGN

After the Concept Design is finished and direction of modification approved by the owner – we provide more detailed documentation, updated with some information from Procurement Process on major equipment data, some major P&ID’s Drawings and Electrical Drawings.

STEP 4 – CLASS DESIGN

Basic design documentation required for relevant Class Approval. We have extensive experience with major Class Societies from IACS . For 20 years of newbuild, repair
and conversion designs – we have been working with DNV-GL, ABS, LR, RINA, BV, PRS and others.

STEP 5 – WORKSHOP DOCUMENTATION

Production information, given in clear and precise documentation. We have our own standards developed by 20 years of experience with Shiprepair & Newbuilding Yard – however when necessary we deliver documents according to customer’s requirements.

STEP 6 – ON SITE SUPERVISION

Thanks to our long time cooperation with both Newbuilding and Shiprepair Yard – our skilled engineers are familiar with on-site problems and production methods. We can assist on site – taking care of arising problems during the project execution at  any conversion Yard.

STEP 7 – AS BUILT

Finalization of the works – updating of the existing documents, and providing new ones. Documentation may be delivered in 3D format if required.
