In Gdańsk, at Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. shipyard, ORP Czajka was launched — the sixth minehunter of the Kormoran II class and one of the most advanced mine countermeasure vessels in the world. This marks another step in strengthening security in the Baltic Sea and proves that the Polish shipbuilding industry has real operational capabilities.
The new vessel will soon reinforce the 8th Coastal Defence Flotilla, protecting sea lanes and critical infrastructure in an increasingly demanding security environment.
This is more than just a ship launch. It is a clear signal that the Baltic Sea is once again at the center of attention.
The vessel is equipped with advanced systems for detecting and neutralizing naval mines.
