On March 19, 2025, at Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A., the christening and launch ceremony of the fifth Kormoran II-class minehunter – ORP Rybitwa took place!
As Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting, in cooperation with the contracting authority, we had the honor of developing the complete design for this state-of-the-art vessel, which will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Polish Navy. Kormoran II ships are highly maneuverable and have low physical signatures, making them well-suited to modern threats, including the protection of critical infrastructure, mine countermeasures, and countering underwater sabotage.
During the ceremony, a letter of intent was also signed, paving the way for promoting these ships on international markets. This marks another step in strengthening the export potential of the Polish shipbuilding industry.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success! ORP Rybitwa is yet another proof that Polish naval vessels meet the highest global technological and operational standards.
