4017 LNG Power-Storage-Bunkering Barge

Project Description

The vessel is a concept of floating power plant fuelled by LNG with combined LNG storage and bunkering function. Barge is self-propelled by means of two pump jets – providing efficient manoeuvring in harbours.

Power Barge as a floating power plant can provide up to 9,6 MW of power to land based power grid, or directly to other vessels or floating structures.

Storage capacity of LNG – for fuelling the power plant or for supplying other  vessels (in bunkering option) – is abt. 2 000 m3.

  • Six marine type Dual Fuel generator sets, each abt. 1600 kWe, for electric power production
  • Two independent IMO type C cylindrical LNG cargo tanks (1000 m3 each)
  • Two electric driven pump jets - providing efficient manoeuvring in harbours
  • Electro-hydraulic knuckle boom crane on the canopy deck for efficient cargo hose handling
