In response to growing market of seismic activities Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting presents its new design of Seismic Support Vessel RMDC 8657 SSV.
The main functions of the SSV are:

  • Transport of fuel, fresh water and other cargoes to and from seismic vessel with relatively high speed
  • Transport of exchange crew to and from seismic vessel
  • Loading and unloading fuel, fresh water and other cargoes to and from seismic vessel at sea in side-to-side position.
  • Emergency towing
  • Assisting the seismic vessel in her seismic sensor handling operations
  • Supply of provisions to seismic vessel

The vessel endurance is to be not less than 60 days assuming the following scenario:

  • 3 days journey from port to seismic vessel with full speed
  • 54 days standby service with max. speed 4 kn
  • 3 days journey from seismic vessel to port with full speed
  • Two separate propulsion systems ensuring proper redundancy during side-to-side operations
  • Heavy fuel cargo stored in tanks with double bottom and double sides
  • Two Yokohama fenders launched and recovered by dedicated davits
  • Streamer storage winch with cable capacity of 8000 m of 60 mm dia
  • Three refrigerated 10 feet containers with provision on her deck
  • Deck knuckle boom crane 12 t/10 m
  • Fuel hose reel capacity - 210 m of 4 inch hose
  • Space on deck for Deck Barovane 410 float
